1. Acceptance

By using PaintGuide.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. The Service

PaintGuide.ai is an AI-powered tool that generates personalized painting guides for miniatures and terrain. The service includes guide generation, a paint collection manager, a learning course, a technique library, and pre-built painting guides.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not share your account or create multiple accounts to bypass usage limits.

4. Guide Content Ownership

PaintGuide.ai retains all rights to the painting guides generated through the service. This includes the text, steps, mixing recipes, tips, and structure of every guide.

When you generate a guide, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • View and follow the guide for your own personal painting projects
  • Print the guide PDF for personal use at your painting desk
  • Reference the guide in your own hobby content (blog posts, social media, videos) with attribution to PaintGuide.ai

You may NOT without prior written authorization:

  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense any guide content
  • Publish guides in whole or in part as your own work
  • Use guides as the basis for a competing product or service
  • Bulk-generate guides for commercial purposes (e.g., to create a book, course, or content library for sale)
  • Remove PaintGuide.ai attribution or branding from guide PDFs

5. Commercial Licensing

If you are a game shop, hobby retailer, content creator, or business that would like to use PaintGuide.ai guides commercially — such as printing guides for customers, embedding guides in your own products, or offering PaintGuide as a service in your store — please contact us to discuss a commercial license.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you provide to the service, including reference photos and text descriptions. By uploading content, you grant PaintGuide.ai a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your guide.

We do not use your uploaded photos for marketing or any purpose beyond generating your guide, unless you explicitly give us permission.

7. Service Data

We may use anonymized, aggregated data from guides generated on the platform to improve the service. This includes analyzing common subjects, techniques, and paint usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is included in this analysis.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

PaintGuide.ai offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel at any time — your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI system or its prompts
  • Use automated tools to bulk-generate guides beyond your tier limits
  • Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
  • Interfere with the service's operation or other users' access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Painting guides are generated by AI and may occasionally contain errors, inaccurate color recommendations, or suboptimal technique suggestions. PaintGuide.ai is a tool to assist your painting — use your own judgment when following guide instructions.

We are not responsible for damage to miniatures, paints, or other materials resulting from following a generated guide.

11. Intellectual Property

PaintGuide.ai, its logo, design, course content, pre-built guides, and technique library are the intellectual property of PaintGuide.ai. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the service without permission.

Miniature names and brands mentioned in guides (Games Workshop, Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners. PaintGuide.ai is not affiliated with or endorsed by any miniature or paint manufacturer.

12. Limitation of Liability

PaintGuide.ai is provided “as is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
